About

Built by operators

Maybank Advisors helps professional services firms apply AI to the work they sell — and decide where the efficiency goes before their clients decide for them.

We did it inside our own agency first. Delivery was rebuilt, the commercial model changed alongside it, and the result showed up on our own P&L. That is why the firm narrowed to this work in 2026 rather than selling AI advice in the abstract.

Who you work with

Partners on the work, engineers behind it

Maybank is not a firm you are handed off inside: both partners work on every engagement, and both have run the kind of business they advise. Behind them sits Pyxl’s design, engineering and delivery team, which is how an engagement moves from recommendation to built software without being handed to a third party.

Co-founder

25 years leading agencies, technology and services companies, including leadership at Oracle, Samsung and multiple VC and PE-backed start-ups and mid-market growth companies. Across all of them the focus has been the same: services firms sell capacity, and the ones that win keep finding a better way to produce the work.

Bonnie Winter

Bonnie Winter

Co-founder

Has run Pyxl day to day for more than six years, leading its expansion from Nashville into Charleston in 2024. She has overseen its recent operating performance and played a central role in the AI and delivery-model work on which Maybank’s current practice is based, including the delivery rebuild Maybank’s method is built on.

Then we did it to ourselves

Brian and Bonnie Winter founded Maybank in 2021. For the first 5 years the work was sales and marketing strategy, revenue operations, go-to-market, and increasingly AI.

Then we applied the same discipline to Pyxl, in this order:

  1. Map the work. Which tasks repeat, and which of them carry real cost.

  2. Rebuild the delivery method. Agree how the work should be produced before automating anything.

  3. Make the commercial decision. Decide where the efficiency lands: margin, capacity or price.

  4. Then choose tools. Last, not first, and constrained by the three decisions above.

From August 2025 through Q2 2026:

+1,300 bps

Gross margin, or 13 percentage points. Less cost to deliver, at fees we held rather than discounted.

+1,800 bps

EBITDA margin, or 18 percentage points. What actually reached the bottom line.

The two are connected. Delivery cost sits in COGS, so the gross-margin gain carries straight down the P&L. The remaining ~500 basis points came from operating leverage below gross profit — the overhead around production, not production itself.

It is evidence from one operating company, not a prediction of what another firm will achieve.

Engineering already in the room

Pyxl is a full-service marketing, design and engineering agency founded in 2008. When an engagement needs to move from recommendation to built software, that capability is available through the same operating partnership that helped prove the method internally.

Why the firm narrowed

The result changed what Maybank does.

The briefing tells the full story: what the research establishes, what Pyxl changed, what showed up in the accounts and why none of that is a forecast for another firm.
